The Mugello Tourers

are enthusiasts that for no specific reasons meet, with their classic cars or bikes, a sunny morning in Scarperia or in Firenzuola and spend the day enjoying the beautiful surroundings, the superb food but, above all, loving the drive through the old circuit track.

Mugello is a fascinating hillside in Tuscany, covered with lush vegetation where villas and “casali” offer modern comfortable accommodation.

Mugello is also, and above all, a magic name in car racing. When in use it was considered to be among the most difficult road tracks but after the ban of road racing in Italy, a modern permanent circuit was built. This circuit, home for many motoring venues, is now owned by Ferrari.

The Mugello road track was used from 1914 to 1970. Although different in length according to the road changes, a single lap consisted of about 60 km (40 miles) of very winding mountain roads. The logical comparison was with the Targa Florio or the Isle of Man TT; however many of the drivers, who drove them all, thought that Mugello was the most demanding.
